Need milk – send money…
I woke up this morning to a bright, sunny Vancouver morning. Apparently this is rare because while I was wandering around outside this afternoon I overheard a group of people commenting on how blue the sky was and how you never see that here. I’ve seen it twice, so either I’m lucky or I don’t need to impress my friends by trying to sound smart about something I obviously don’t know much about.
Grilling don’t go…
As I was going to say, I woke up this morning craving waffles.
Problem: I didn’t have any milk, and as you can see, waffles need milk.
This of course was very disappointing, and I let out a big sigh when I realized I had an empty cartoon in the refrigerator. However, this did get me thinking, and after a quick and inferior breakfast I found myself en route to the store to pick up not only some milk, but some other vital ingredients needed to bake a wide variety of sweet and less-than-nutritious goodies. Despite the warm weather I managed to whip up a nice loaf of banana bread and a batch of my infamous peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. The waffles I’ll save for tomorrow.
Hitchcock for one take two…
Included in my trip to the store, was another odd event. I was over near the hospital, walking up a side street when I realized that a big black crow was following me, flying from tree to tree. Why, I can’t figure out, because the only food I had was wrapped in the multilayered packaging. Maybe he was just crazy.
Anyhow, as I walked up the street this bird was getting bolder and bolder, and at one point was swooping at my head, coming within a few feet of me.
Well, don’t ask what it is with me an the birds in this city, but I think I’m going to develop some sort of phobia if this keeps happening. I managed to get away this time, but….
My mellow midnight mixup
Well, Friday nights technically should be for going out, hitting the town, and seeing what there is to see. But alas, I was tired from a long week at work and I decided to spend the evening hacking my webpage. Obviously, if you are reading this, you’ve seen also seen the new design.
Although, if you’re using Netscape, technically you wouldn’t be reading this had I not spent two solid hours re-hacking the place after I discovered that it was all just a big mess if you aren’t using MS Explorer. So feel special now…
But whatever.
The cool thing is now we get some science updates right on the front page, and I added a recipe section for those who wish to cook some tasty treats.
But like I said… whatever.
