VOTE

The vote for movies won, despite being cast about two hours too late. We watched Rat Race for the nth time, and still managed to find most of it mind-numbingly hysterical. It’s Saturday: I can turn my brain off occasionally.

Brad’s laws of threes: Odd events always occur in triples. In this case: car accidents. Scenario one: I, while talking on the phone with my parents this evening learned that my sister was in a minor fender-bender with a taxi recently. No major damage, but its enough to rattle, I’m sure. My sister is supposed to come and visit me some time soon. I don’t think she believes my invite is sincere though: she never did trust me completely. Scenario two: Chris and I, after an exhausting evening in front of the tube, go for a walk down Oak, along Broadway, and back up Cambie. On Broadway: we are near LD, when the crunching impact startles us out of our shoes. Look back to see a black Jetta and a lesser vehicle in a bit of a close-contact situation. Scenario three: yet to be determined, but many thanks to Chris for the Hot Chocolate while we wait to see.

Pre-publication at less than twenty to midnight: I find the allure of an early evening with some meditative Beeblebrox-style comedy strapped to my ears. While I have almost memorized the BBCs Hitchhikers Drama I can’t help but listen to it almost continuously. I would venture to say that in the three years since initial acquisition I have entranced myself in its entirety at least forty-two times. And, though not speaking of software upgrades, I got an elegant version of Scrabble in my Cheerios this afternoon. Most exciting: go buy some and we can establish some net play…

Brad was fascinated by all that social media stuff for a little while, but now just thinks it’s basically blogging for lazy people. Status update? Tweet? One hundred and forty characters? Bah! Some of my titles are longer than that!
