As an un.event, we trudged into Vancouver and spent a looooooooovely afternoon wandering about the South Granville Rise, stopping in Starbucks for a mocha frappacino, and perusing the shoppes in the summer warmth. Then we wandered back to the old ‘hood, and spent a looooooooovely evening with Chris and Poornima, going out for dinner at the Rugby Club on West Broadway ( * * * * / 5 ), and then trouncing back to their place for kake and tea.
Chris and I discussed guy stuff — the girls did a tarot reading. Chris now owns a PS2. Brad’s current colour code: green.plus
My wonderful father’s day effort: (1) send a card, and not have it arrive until after the weekend. Silly Canada Post — though I can hardly blame them. (2) Call Dad at around 11:20 PM, after he has gone to bed, probably waking him up — though he claimed not — and then have a nonsensical conversation. No, Dad, that wasn’t just a bad dream.
