Is the Internet broken?

…or is everyone just on Facebook these days? Not counting the usual, steady stream of spam that typically floods my inbox, I did not receive a single e-mail today. Not one. Nil. Nada. Nicht. I think that’s the first time in, well, years. Honestly, I’d be hard pressed to think of the last time I went an entire day without a message of some kind.

It’s like the world just vanished. Frankly, it was nice a quiet for once.

Theories?

1) Everyone finally realized that summer is nearly over and, like us, spent a mild August day outside enjoying the weather.

2) Everyone is on vacation and are too busy fishing/camping/gambling/whatever to be bothered with the Internet today.

3) Everyone is at FolkFest (or some other cultural-izing event) and as reveling in the music.

4) Everyone is at 7-11 waiting in line for a free slurpee and realizing that free-slurpee-day was LAST month. (That would be disappointing enough to give up the Internet for at least a day.)

Whatever. That said, send me a message!

****….let me see….today I did 3 routes, sold hot dogs, took stuff to Value Village, folded Mount Washmore, made supper, and watched some TV….and was on Facebook a few times, but nobody else was.
