Mild-ish Like
This time last year we had snow on the ground. And it stuck around for a good six months. Not yet, this year.
Instead, after walking over and back to the polling station, a dog and a bright orange stroller in tow, we came home and barbecued some steaks and grilled up one of the (now ripe) butternut squash that I grew. I could very well be among the last barbecues of the season. Unless, of course, we get a nice stretch of snow-free weather and I opt to barbecue in sub-zero temperatures. That’s always an option.

We had hamburgers after voting…what a gorgeous night. Great weather to enjoy the power outage we experienced up in the North too — eerily quiet.
How was the sky? Did your husband take advantage of no power to pull out his telescope?
I have everyone beat. I had no power for 30 hours
Yeah, but crashing your quad into a power line doesn’t count.
haha funny. A transformer blew up and the substation was on fire. It was pretty cool
A transformer blew up the substation!? Autobot or Decepticon?
Decepticon
I told him to pull out the telescope, but he was too lazy. We did spend a lot of time outside staring at the stars though. It’s amazing how much light pollution there still is when you’re entire neighbourhood is black.
